RHS Chelsea Flower Show
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is a garden show held for five days in May every year by the Royal Horticultural Society and is perhaps the most famous flower show in the world. The Chelsea Flower Show showcases avant-garde show gardens designed by leading names in Floral Design. Woolly Pocket exhibited a lush outdoor living garden at the 2011 show.
Design Challenge
The project goal was to create a stunning center piece within the Hospitality Village and to hide the white plastic marquees. There was no vertical surface available, so a freestanding frame was designed to hold the weight of the Pockets and plants. Generally, a planted Pocket weighs about 20lbs after watering. Additionally, it was critical the frame be easy for two people to install quickly.
